FREE GONK CROCHET PATTERN – Doll Clothes
Follow the pattern for making the main body and arms as shown in the Santa Gonk crochet pattern, using flesh colour yarn. You can just work these in continuous rounds instead of joining at the end of each round as they will only be in on colour.
Work the nose as in the pattern, joining at end of rounds. I added more definition to the nose by pinching it into shape and stitched on a couple of nostrils.
As you will not be making a hat, find the position for the nose by lining up the top of the nose under the 8th round from top. Attach the arms on either side under the 10th round from top.
Add hair to the head using the same technique as for the beard.
I added nipples on mine by tying a piece of dark pink yarn around a stitch post of the body and tucking in the ends.

Fig leaf – free doll crochet pattern
Start with a magic ring,
R1. sc x6 into ring (6)
R2. [sc, hdc], [sc, trc, ch2, sl st], [sl st, ch2, 2trc, ch2, sl st], [sl st, ch2, trc, sc], [hdc, sc], sl st (14, ch2 count as 1 st each, sl st do not count as sts)
Fasten off by pulling through the starting tail. This will also become the leaf’s stalk. Leave a long tail for attaching the fig leaf to your Gonk. If you would like to keep your Gonk interchangeable, use the tail end to stitch onto the body a couple of times to tack into place and feed the rest of the tail end through the body to hide. When you come to remove the fig leaf, you can simply wiggle it to loosen the stitches a pull the tail end back out, allowing you to reattach in the same way again.
Here I have used 2 shades of Green DK weight yarn to create the same scale fig leaf. This gives an interesting 2 tone effect. I knotted the pulled through starting ends, keeping the ends together and creating a stiffer stalk.
Congratulations!
