Welcome to
Hooked On Patterns’
colour palette inspirations!
I love crochet, and I’m obsessed with yarn colours. If I find a colourful, beautiful image, I examine it to find the balance of colours across the page.
Yarn Palette #3: This is a photo of a beautiful butterfly on a flower. The flower is like a flame, bright yellow and red. It is rooted by an earth green stem. The butterfly is a soft orange brown hue with a black outline and body. The white spots create contrast. This gives an interesting blend of colours, it creates a colour palette that is bold yet earthy. This summer seasoned photograph, lends itself to more of an autumnal palette.
