I love crochet, and I’m obsessed with yarn colours. If I find a colourful, beautiful image, I examine it to find the balance of colours across the page.

Yarn Palette #1: This stylish interior design photo of a spotless home, gives a light and airy feel. It reminds me of being in a holiday home, you can almost sense the sea just outside. The subtle splashes of colour adds interest, and keeps the home inviting and relaxing. The resulting colour palette gives an interesting mix. I would combine the lighter shades as the main colours and use the darker colours as accent colours, to keep the fresh feel of the scene.
