Details for the Christmas tree advent calendar crochet pattern
This is a crochet pattern to make a fun Christmas Tree Advent Calendar. The tree has 24 pockets, 3 being larger pockets for bonus treats! Create the ultimate Christmas countdown with this festive project, to be used year after year.
The smaller bauble pockets fit a single Ferrero Rocher, 2 individually wrapped chocolates, or 4 large chocolate coins. The larger present pockets fit a small 3D shaped chocolate figure, or 2 Ferrero Rochers with room for a few coins.
I have used Stylecraft Special Aran 100% acrylic yarn with a 5mm hook for my tree, and 4mm hook for the number details.
- Yarn Weight: UK Aran/US Worsted
- Hook Size: 5mm and 4mm
- Size: Finished tree measures approx. 22″ tall by 20″ wide with a depth of just over 1″. Small pockets measure 1.5″ in diameter by 1″ deep. Large pockets measure 3 x 1.5″ by 1″ deep.
To crochet this Christmas Tree Advent Calendar,
you will need:
Aran/Worsted weight yarn:approx. 400g of Green, and 100g each of Brown, Silver, Red, Blue, and Yellow,
5mm & 4mm crochet hook,
Polyester fibrefill stuffing – approx. 70g,
Yarn needle, Scissors,
Optional: Stitch markers or scrap yarn
