WIZARD GONK FREE CROCHET PATTERN – Doll Clothes

Wizard Gonk free crochet patternIf you would like to make another Gonk with clothing colours, I have used 2 shades of Grey colour yarn light and dark with a darker shade for trimmings, follow this guide for colour changes:

Work the main body as detailed in the original Santa Gonk pattern from R1. to R8. in Dark yarn. Work R9. to R19. in Light yarn for the main clothing. (See trim details box below if adding before continuing)
Work R20. to R30. in flesh colour for the head.
Start the arms in flesh colour yarn, working R1.-R3. for the hands and then change to Light yarn to finish.

Wizard Gonk free crochet patternMake a simple belt by chaining 50 in Dark or trim colour and tie it around the Gonk’s waist (just below half way).
Attach your nose under the 8th round from the top and attach your arms to either side at the top of the Light section or under the neck line trim.

Optional trim detail – Wizard Gonk free crochet pattern

Use the surface slip stitch technique to go around the bottom of the Light colour, across the front diagonally for a wrap around detail and around the neck line under the flesh colour, and diagonally down to meet the other line forming a V neck line. Do this after R22. keeping flesh colour yarn attached and before stuffing – If you prefer, you could just embroider trimming details afterwards.

I have used 2 shades of Grey colour yarn – lighter and darker. I have made my Hat in Lighter Grey to match my Gonk’s main body colour and my Cloak in Darker Grey. You can use any colours you wish.
